Derby Week

It's here, Derby week is upon us, with Big Brown scheduled to ship to Churchill Downs on Monday, all the top contenders will be in Kentucky, getting ready for Saturday.  Some interesting works the last few days. 

Gayego, Cool Coal Man and Colonel John have been galloping over the track for a few days and seem to be getting ready for a top effort.

Monba and Cowboy Cal had strong efforts yesterday at Keeneland, I was very impressed with Monba's work in company.

Smooth Air may not run and with Proud Spell opting for the Oaks, it looks like Bob Black Jack and Dennis of Cork will get in.  Now let's see if we can get Halo Najib into the race!

The Oaks is shaping up as a very nice race.  Bsharpsonata, Country Star and Pure Clan, are all very strong and Pure Clan may be the best of the bunch.

Eight Belle's seems a little out of here element trying the derby, mainly because of the running style, I think she is not quick enough to hang with Gayego and Big Brown, and also may not be able to outlast Colonel John, Monba, Pyro and others.

Whats up with Pyro?  Everybody is off the bandwagon, he may have just peaked a little too soon.
