LEXINGTON NOTES

Another California horses ships out and wins off the synthetic surface.  Behindatthebard comes from 15 lengths back and wins another prep for Todd Pletcher.  

Let's take a look at the list:  Sierra Sunset, Gayego, Behindatthebar, Tiago, Heatseeker.  Can anyone still doubt will not like Churchill Downs?

I hope Eight Belles gets a good post and draws into the Derby.  Any dollar bet on her will be wasted.  Those 4 and 6 horse fields she faced the last 2 races did not get her ready for a 20 horse field.

Also I hope she runs in the Oaks, she won't win that race either.  Pure Clan needs a full field to run at and will get that in the Oaks, also if Eight Belles, thinks she can hang and bang with Bsharpsonata for 9 furlongs, she has another thing coming!

War Pass goes down!  Followers of this forum have noticed that I have not included him on any of my top 5 lists.  Something just seemed off about him after the front running slop easy victory in the Breeder's Cup, I just kind of new he wouldn't be the best horse of this generation as a 3 -year old.

Colonel John fired another good work the other day, he works Sunday and then ships to Kentucky on Monday.  One work in Louisville and they await the post position draw.

Big Brown had another nice work at Gulfstream.  This horse is intriguing, i'm not sure if he is helped by War Pass's scratch, he may be forced up closer to the pace, the pace may also be slower, it actually may help Cowboy Cal and Gayego the most who now can sit right with Big Brown and wait until the turn.

Lexington CQ score   equals a solid 3.  Very Fast fractions and Samba Rooster dug in the entire stretch, Big Glen verified his form and Behindatthebar had a nice close, he runs with an awkward stride but has won 3 of his last 4.
