Wide Open

What do people think of the West Coast horses now!!  Let's face it the slow Beyer numbers are wrong, Gayego, Limestone Edge, Indian Sun, Sierra Sunset.

How many horses do you need as proof that they will run fine on the Dirt!

Colonel John has been one of the top 5 contenders for the Derby ever since his Cash Call Futurity.

Monba is a player because of his breeding.  Pyro man bad today, because he was acting up in the gate and broke dead last, but it doesn't matter he is not going to run 10 furlongs in 20 days.  He is small and light framed compared to the other conteders and his last 2 races were strong finishes on slow paces.

Gayego does not have the pedigree but this horse impressed me today, he has the right trainer and the right rider.

If you took the field bet in pool 3 last week you might have 7 horses running in the derby.

If Big Brown does not work out in the next 3 days, this could be the most wide open betting race in years and I don't care if the horses are slow, as long as they pay 8 -1 or higher, its a good betting race.
